Using different fonts in Tumblr
This letter generator for Tumblr allows you to convert a normal text into different text fonts that you can copy and paste on Tumblr and other social networks and on most other websites on the Internet.
The different text fonts are part of the Unicode standard, which means that they are not like normal fonts. If they were normal fonts, you wouldn’t be able to copy and paste them anywhere.
If you’re wondering why it’s possible to copy these fonts and paste them into their Tumblr publications, we’ll explain quickly: Unicode is a set of standards for the entire international computer industry that works to create a list of all possible texts. Characters that should be available on all devices (phones, tablets, computers,…). Most of the big companies in the computer industry (Google, Apple, Microsoft, Samsung, Canonical,…) comply with the Unicode standard or at least part of it.
Unicode specifies more than 100,000 different characters in hundreds of languages and sets of symbols. So instead of each computer company inventing its own set of symbols, they can use the Unicode set. This essentially means that Unicode symbols work almost everywhere.

But this is where we go back to Tumblr, among the thousands of Unicode symbols are the normal alphabetic symbols (the ones you’re reading now), but also a number of other alphabets that are different in some way. There are also thousands of characters that look like letters of the Latin alphabet, but are actually symbols of other sets of symbols and languages. Either way, we can select all standard Unicode symbol types and use them to build all sorts of new styles of text fonts that we can copy and paste.
