Adding customized typefaces to your Instagram strategy can be a fantastic opportunity to strengthen your brand identity and attract the attention of your public.
But special fonts and symbols in Instagram are quite popular, so I thought I’d make a translator just for Instagram fonts. With our converter you don’t have to install application, you can generate online fonts instantly and copy and paste them immediately.
About instagram fonts symbols
This generator produces Unicode symbols, so they are not Instagram per se fonts, but sets of symbols for Instagram. That’s why you can copy and paste them and use them in your instagram biography or comments. If they were real fonts you couldn’t copy them in other places (copying and pasting a font doesn’t make sense, the creators of the website decide the font you use and that can’t be changed).
But having said that, it’s very easy to call them fonts (or even install fonts, or activate letters, for short ;), because who really cares. That’s not to make fun of the Unicode standard. It’s pretty nice over 100,000 text symbols including everything from cursive alphabets like the ones above to rare emoji symbols representing thousands of different objects.
If any of the above special letters don’t work in your Instagram biography (or if they appear as question marks or simple squares), it’s probably because your device still doesn’t support those Unicode characters. Because the Unicode standard is so large, it will take many years for all letter types to be included in all new devices, but it’s happening pretty fast, so it may only take a month or two for your browser/device to be compatible with the new original symbols.
Good practices for the use of customized instagram fonts
Instagram custom fonts can be a great opportunity to add a special touch to your content, but they can do more harm than good if they are not used wisely.
- Watch your aesthetics: choose your fonts carefully. Even the most basic font often has a connotation, so always think about what works best for your mark and aesthetics. For example, minimalist fonts can stand for modern simplicity, while italic fonts can be romantic or feminine.
- Use sparingly: It can be too strong. Use custom fonts sparingly; too much can look like spam and reduce the effect. Later, we save custom fonts for important calls to action, headlines and highlights.
- Consider legibility: Some custom fonts are really hard to read. Make sure you can read any text you share on both the computer desktop and mobile phones.
- Be consistent: Once you have found an efficient custom font that fits your brand, stick to it. If you are consistent, you can strengthen your branding and create a sense of familiarity with your followers.
